Jealous White Men

IN POST-PRODUCTION

Jealous Jules Verne, exposed for never leaving Europe, spins a wild and loquacious tale of globetrotter Charles Darwin’s journey to the Galapagos, where he turns into a hunter and cannibal on an island full of pirates and slaves.

Disappointed by not surprised, his wife Honorine challenges the narrative, unveiling a parallel tale: While searching for strange creatures and his lost lover Captain FitzRoy, the English explorer is captured by a female commando dedicated to freeing slaves, led by Italian Captain Carola, an erudite former nun who has already made enough discoveries to thwart Darwin’s egomaniacal thirst for glory.

Blurring the boundaries between reality and fiction, truth and myth, these playful and politically incorrect tales question if we will ever know who is really behind history.
